Summer Ministry Assistant

Location: Regina, SK
Hours: 35 hours/week
Term: 8 weeks
Wage: $15.35/hour

Bloom Church is seeking motivated and reliable Summer Ministry Assistants to support our church’s daily operations, children’s ministry, and church programming. This role provides hands-on experience in program coordination, volunteer support, and community engagement within a church setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with planning and organizing weekly children’s ministry programming
- Preparing lesson materials and activity supplies
- Supporting volunteers, staff, and congregation
- Helping create a welcoming and safe environment for children and families
- Assisting with administrative tasks (communication, organizing, photography, film editing, etc.)
- Supporting daily church tasks, events, and community outreach initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with children is an asset
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs)
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee status in Canada
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada
Work Environment
This role takes place in a church setting and involves both administrative and hands-on program support. Some weekend work (Sundays) is required.
Applicants should be comfortable working in a Christian, faith-based environment and supporting programming that reflects these values. While this role does not require formal ministry experience, a personal alignment with the mission and values of Bloom Church is important.
